• † HOW TO USE ALT CODES † •
The first thing we need to have is a sample code to make sure it works so you know if you are doing the alt codes correctly, this code will be 20 and will look like this ¶.
• † GUIDE FOR A STANDARD KEYBOARD † •:
The first thing you want to do is locate the "Alt" key, there should be two of them. They should be on either side of the space bar.
Now locate your number pad it should look like this (IT IS NOT THE STRAIGHT ROW OF NUMBERS)
[ # ] [ / . ] [ * ] [ - ]
[ 7 ] [ 8 ] [ 9 ] [ + ]
[ 4 ] [ 5 ] [ 6 ] | . . |
[ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] [enter]
[ 0 ……] [ . ] [ …… ]
Now what you want to do is hold down one of the "Alt" keys and press the key 2 on the number pad then lift up that finger and then press the 0 key on the number pad and lift that finger up. Now take your finger off the alt key and the "¶" should show up.
• † GUIDE FOR LAPTOPS † •:
Most laptops don't have the number pad to the right of your typing keys, but you still can use the alt codes. The first thing you want to do is locate the "Alt" button, It is to either side of the space bar. The second button you want to find is the "Fn" key, It is located by the ctrl key in the bottom left corner of your keyboard.
Now you want to locate The small blue numbers towards the right hand position of the keyboard. the numbers should be set up on these keys.
[ 7 ] [ 8 ] [ 9 ] [ 0 ]
[ U ] [ I ] [ O ] [ p ]
[ J ] [ K ] [ L ] [ ; ]
[ M ] [ , ]. [ . ] [ ? ]
Now the little blue numbers will be lined up like this on those keys:
[ 7 ] [ 8 ] [ 9 ] [ / ]
[ 4 ] [ 5 ] [ 6 ] [ * ]
[ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] [ - ]
[ 0 ] [ . .] [ . ] [ + ]
Now hold down the "Fn" key and hold down the "Alt" key. Now press the "K" (2 blue key) key lift up your finger and press the "M" (0 blue key) key and lift it up. Now lift your finger off the "Alt" key and "¶" should show up. You can take your last finger off the "Fn" key and continue typing your message.
